2022 April-May News

1. Happy Graduation to React Workshop!ย

These proud students have successfully completed our 7-week React Workshop, from February 8 to March 29.

Congratulations to our fresh graduates from the part-time evening React Workshop. ๐Ÿ‘

This is a special batch since most of the students already have some basic understanding of programming or come from computer-related majors. In order to provide the students with a deeper and wider knowledge of front-end development, our instructor focused on advanced applications of JavaScript and React during this 7-week workshop.

We are proud to see our students create their own projects and be able to upgrade their portfolios in a short time. We look forward to their continued learning and future performance either in universities or in internship companies!

2. Challenge Yourself in Google Summer of Code!

Participate in the global annual event held by Google which is open to all the coders around the world.

The Google Summer of Code is an international annual program that helps bring new contributors into open-source software organizations. You can gain exposure to real-world software development while mentors help you integrate into the community and become stronger developers. It is also a great opportunity to network with international coders and brush up on your coding skills.

The 2022 application opens on April 5, do not miss it! ๐Ÿ‘‰ Check out the event

3. Dev Bootcamp Batch 15 Demo Day and Graduationย ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ป๐ŸŽ“

Batch 15 has successfully completed their 12-week Fullstack Intensive Bootcamp and presented their final project that they’ve developed over the course.

Congratulations to wcoding Dev Bootcamp – Batch 15 graduates!

On their last day of the course, the students presented their final project ‘ProPhoto’ to showcase what they have learned during their 3 months course of the intensive bootcamp. ProPhoto is a platform for photographers to share their works and for everyone to download or buy high-quality photos online.

What’s special about this project is that the platform is using its own virtual coins as the main currency for trade. The team also worked on log-in, member profiles, photo uploads, search functions, and developed an online payment system for virtual coins.

We are truly glad to see how far this group of students has come in just a few months. The Demo Day was also a great opportunity for the batch to learn how to turn ideas into plans, use codes to turn plans into actual products, and provide IT solutions for real-world problems.

4. Congratulations to Our Newest ‘Weekend Class’ Graduates!ย ๐ŸŽŠ

The fresh coders from our ‘Intro to Web Dev’ Course successfully created their very first IT project on the last day of their 2 months course.ย

Congratulations to our brave ‘challengers’ from the weekend Intro to Web Dev! ย ๐ŸŽŠ

Have you ever imagined how capable you can be just by investing a few hours a week in learning to code? The brave coders from our weekend class are showing you how!

Most of the students in the batch come from non-IT backgrounds and have ZERO experience in coding. After 8 weeks of learning for 2 hours every Saturday, they were able to build a simple but impressive weather app using HTML, CSS, and a bit of JavaScript!

One of the graduates commented in the course review “It’s not easy to maintain your work schedule and learn new skills at the same time, but it feels like a team when learning with your classmates and it definitely motivates you a lot.”
